We want to do our job anytime, anywhere. Also on the way. You can do that with a laptop and a smartphone. But the right accessories lift the mobile work to the next level. An overview of some must have accessories for those who want to work unconcerned along the way.

#1 Cable Lock

Bridging a few hours before your next appointment by working in a coffee shop or with a customer can be useful. Just like a day at a flex workplace, get new inspiration. But what do you do if you have to go to the bathroom or get some coffee? It’s a lot of hassle to bring your laptop, but leaving it unattended isn’t wise either.

Of course, first of all, it is important to close your screen when you walk away. No one can sneak into your laptop while you’re gone. By the way, it is advisable to use a screen filter in public areas anyway. This prevents people from watching live on your screen and thus seeing sensitive company information.

That just doesn’t solve the risk of stealing your laptop while you get a latte macchiato. However, there is also a smart solution for this: a special cable lock for your laptop. This allows you to attach your device to a display, desk, or other heavy object, so you are protected from theft. Please note that there are several cable locks available, depending on your type of laptop, you need a certain lock.

#2 Extra Portable Display

For some professions, it is desirable to have an additional display on the go. For example, because you work with different programs at the same time or because you want your teammates on location or your customers to watch with your work or presentation.

Of course, you can pick and take your screen from your desk, but there are also lightweight alternatives, specially made to take anywhere. For example, hp’s lightweight portable display only has to fold the protective cover backwards. Put the screen upright and connect it to your PC via a USB-C cable. It’s easy to sit.

#3 Easy and safe login

When you work on location for a few hours, it’s usually nice to use a separate mouse. A loose mouse doesn’t have to be expensive, takes up little space in your bag and there are countless for sale. However, we like to light a handy mouse here on the go.

There is now a finger print mouse for sale. This mouse works just like any other mouse, with the extra functionality a fingerprint scanner that makes it easy and secure to log in to your laptop. It’s a USB mouse, so you’ll never run the risk of empty batteries either.

#4 For calls and video conferencing

Being along the way is no longer an excuse to skip a meeting. A conference call is set up like this. Of course it is so useful when you are intelligible, even when you work in a noisy coffee shop. Good headphones can make a difference in this.

For example, HP mono headphones are easy to carry, and great for Skype calls and video conferencing. Voices sound crystal clear thanks to noise reduction. You can connect via your PC (with a micro USB dongel) or via your mobile phone or tablet (with Bluetooth or NFC). If desired, you can even make a call or switch between devices via PC and phone.

#5 Powerbank and USB hub

You finally have time to work on your presentation, keep your laptop up with it. Battery drain. Of course, first of all, it’s smart to put your laptop on the energy efficient position, so that the battery lasts longer.

Is the battery (almost) empty and there is no socket nearby? Then a powerbank offers a solution. You have them in all shapes and sizes, there are even what you can charge your phone and laptop at the same time. Want to connect more devices? Then the new USB-C Travel hub is an outcome.

#6 Convenient and durable bag

Where do you store your laptop and all those must have accessories? Preferably of course in one sturdy bag that you easily take anywhere. But what’s more beautiful now if that handy bag is sustainable at the same time?

For example, HP has launched a new laptop bag line, the so-called HP Recycled Series. These bags are made of recycled plastic. You have a choice of backpack and shoulder bag. Both are weatherproof and have many handy compartments, so you can easily store and find your laptop and all your accessories.
